Our Wines ![]() The regal-looking ringneck pheasant on the front represents the essence of wild game, which pairs beautifully with our wines. No matter which one of our wines you drink, there is a perfect meal waiting to be paired with it. All our wines are fermented in neutral oak barrels with wild yeast from the vineyard site. ![]() ![]() |
Teutonic Wine Company Imports Available Now Download the import catalog » For more information about our imports, email info@teutonicwines.com. Available Now 2010 Pinot Noir, Laurel Vineyard Teutonic Battle, 207 cases produced This wine is from a single vineyard (Laurel Vineyard, Chehalem Mountains), spontaneously fermented in neutral barrels just like all our other wines. It's razor sharp with minerality, light-bodied and ethereal. Nothing is cut short on this wine except the price. The label is pretty bad ass too! 2010 Pinot Noir, Laurel Vineyard Bergspitze, 98 cases produced "Bergspitze" means "mountain top" in German, and we named it this because all the fruit used to make this wine is located on the highest part of Bald Peak at 1250 feet, making it the highest site in Oregon. These vines were planted more than 25 years ago, with Alsatian Coury clones. It's elegant, with notes of spice, cranberry tarts and balanced acidity. This wine is made to age, and we recommend holding on to a few bottles for several years. 2009 Traubenwerkzeug Pinot Noir Willamette Valley, Quarryview Vineyard 22 cases produced This small vineyard site was planted on top of a decommissioned gravel quarry so you can imagine what the terrior is like—MINERAL! The cliffs (yes, cliffs) in this vineyard resemble the surface of Mars—red, barren and rocky. The wine is gorgeous but still young. We highly recommend waiting until at least 2012 before drinking. Traubenwerkzeug will only be available for purchase directly from the winery and special events. (13% Alc. by Vol.) |
2009 Pinot Noir Alsea Vineyard 24 cases produced This is our baby, the vineyard that we planted in 2005. The vines are starting to look mature and the trunks are getting fatter. The fruit from 2010 was scarce but beautiful with long hang time and perfect ripeness of 21 BRIX, just the way we like it. The critters were very hard to control and they go to a lot of our fruit, so sadly to say, we were only able to produce one barrel of our estate Pinot Noir. (11.5% Alc. by vol.) 2010 Pinot Blanc Alsea Vineyard 24 cases produced This is the first time our Pinot Blanc really stood a chance to make it to the market, but again, those darn critters really enjoyed the luscious clusters and so we only harvested enough to make 11 cases in 375 ML bottles. Available March 2012
Available in 2015 2009 Teutonic Sparkling Riesling Methode Champenoise This is our interpretation of a classic German Sekt; bringing the best food-friendly qualities of Riesling and Champagne together. We are planning a five-year extended tirage for this sparkling. Sorry for the long wait! All our wines are single vineyard. |
